4 Reflections & Takeaways For Building My Community
In “Build Your Own Digital Community” Episode 49, Kristina shares details from her trip to Arizona for the Fast Foundations Mastermind workshop. She shares three main reflections from her experience that she believes are important for her listeners who own their own online businesses.
The Importance of a Personal Brand
The first point Kristina shares is the importance of building a personal brand. Personal branding is a very important aspect of running a business. Kristina shares that when she was doing personal development coaching (previous to the Social Snippet), she also did social media on the side. She only realized how deep she was into the social media realm when she started her online business with Maria, which is ultimately how The Social Snippet was born. From there, she managed to carry over a lot of personal development clients, and hired them as social media managers.
At the time, many people were talking about the importance of a personal brand for both social media, and business in general. Kristina then mentions the importance of a personal brand when it comes to fulfilling big plans and dreams. She personally wants to build her brand as clearly as possible and enjoys working on her personal brand as it is the future of all her future businesses. Although she will be working in social media for the long term, she has plans that include being involved with Airbnb, hosting large retreats, and other goals that will only work if her personal brand is on point.
Another takeaway that she shares from the workshop is that she noticed that all the speakers had multiple businesses. This made Kristina think more about her personal branding, and how she wants to do more than social media alone.
As Kristina builds her future, she wants to achieve even higher. She believes that building her personal brand is a great way to do that, not only for her, but for everyone involved.
The Power of Being Multi-Passionate
Kristina’s next point is that niching is not for everyone. Although Kristina does not place a great deal of importance on niching or being niched, she has struggled with having many different interests in her life. She has since realized that being multi-passionate is a strength.
People no longer need to hone in on how they “should” be perceived in business. People can be incredibly strong when they are open to exploring a variety of fields. Nowadays, influencers and business owners can be great at a variety of things. Kristina tells listeners not to be pressured by or scared of their passions; be empowered!
The Influence of In-Person Events
The last takeaway she shares is that in-person events are an amazing way to connect with your audience. Investing in in-person events is something that her mentors have recommended because they help build community. It is important to engage in conversations about other peoples’ experiences.
Kristina concludes the podcast with a recap of her takeaways and encourages listeners to build their personal brand in
